Investigations
The detectives at the Bethalto Police Department are assigned cases typically forwarded to them by Patrol. Detectives are patrolmen given this special assignment.
These officers are dedicated to their work and are required to be on call when off duty. Detectives assist in large crime scenes, present cases to the State for prosecution, and work closely with other agencies to solve investigations.
